Reconstruction Era

Charleston, Missouri Klan, 1869

He is a young, good looking man by the name Sanders,
——“这个组织的意图是否仅仅是为了抢劫, or not, we cannot say, 但是想想那些穿着我们描述过的制服的人, would stop at no crimes.”

Col. Jeffers, town marshall of Clarkton,
2nd Missouri Cavalry, MSG (McGee & Mayo).
Don Scarlett was murdered, and Davis S. 布卢姆菲尔德的比思因为谴责对查尔斯·朗的鞭打而被迫离开了小镇, a former union soldier.

伍格推荐杰出成员, especially from surrounding counties, be enlisted into a militia force. 这些人中的许多人现在认为三k党是, "only a band of horse theives, robbers, and murderers...
M. Fraker.

Charleston Klan, 1871

The klansman’s name was Dan Lacewell. Francis County jail for safe keeping. “He will have little hope of mercy, 因为他的审判将在一个仅仅因为他是三k党成员而获得公众同情的社区进行. -Ironton Enterprise
